Obituaries

JN

MIRIAM F. FOXMAN, 93, of Portland,
Ore., formerly of Keego Harbor, died June
27, 2014.
At 40 years old, Mrs. Foxman attended
Oakland University and got her degree,
and she taught for 18 years as a middle
school teacher. She was a volunteer for
50 years with the Red Cross. A docent
at the Holocaust Memorial Center, she
also volunteered at the Oakland County
Historical Society.
Mrs. Foxman is survived by her sons
and daughters-in-law, Eric and Pamela
Foxman, and Martin Alan and Sheryl
Foxman; daughter and son-in-law,
Rachel Foxman and Michael Stickling;
grandchildren, Delaney, Paige and Erin
Rosenblatt, Jillian and Joshua Conway,
and Wesley and Daniel Cardwell; sister,
Sarah Netler; brother and sister-in-law,
Max L. and Josephine Freifield.
She was the beloved wife of the late Dr.
Daniel L. Foxman; the dear sister-in-law
of the late Herman Netler.
Interment was at Canton Hebrew

Cemetery. Contributions may be made to

ANITA KIPPELMAN,
95, of Hollywood, Fla.,
formerly of Michigan,
died June 23, 2014.
Mrs. Kippelman
was stationed at Fort
Marmouth during
World War II, doing
clerical work. She
attended Mott Community College and
received a bachelor's degree. Active with
the Democratic Jewish Women's Group,
Jewish War Veterans Auxiliary, Flint
Chapter of Hadassah and Pioneer Women
(Na'amat), Mrs. Kippelman was also a life
member of Congregation Beth Israel in
Flint and was a poet laureate in Florida.
She was also an avid bridge player.
Mrs. Kippelman is survived by her
sons and daughter-in-law, Dr. Robert
Kippelman of Boynton Beach, Fla., Marc
