in under four seconds.
When it comes to saving lives, only one of these is a high-performance
vehicle. And Magen David Adom, Israel's emergency medical response
agency, needs 100 of these ambulances to meet this year's needs.
Because MDA doesn't receive government funding, we're counting on you.
Just as Israelis are counting on us.
Please call Cari Immerman, director, about sponsoring an
ambulance or other lifesaving emergency medical equipment.
Your investment will save lives in Israel every day.

JN
ince opening her first Just Baked
Cupcakes shop in January 2009,
founder Pam Turkin has truly
enjoyed the taste of success. However,
even after opening 19 more stores, Turkin
recognized that in order to continue
growing her 5-year-old company into
new and different markets she needed the
insight and support of the right strategic
partners. Enter investors and brothers
Ryan and Eric Goodman.
Ryan Goodman, 36, of Birmingham
and Eric Goodman, 33, of Bloomfield
Hills recently became equal equity owners
of Just Baked, in partnership with Pam
and her husband, Todd Turkin.
Since joining the organization at the
beginning of 2014, the Goodman brothers
have been getting a crash course in the art
of baking as well as learning all aspects
of the Just Baked business model. The
brothers' primary roles within the organi-
zation are focused on current real estate
management and future location oppor-
tunities, as well as business operations.
Ryan and Eric, both Michigan natives
and sons of Margo and Steven Goodman
of Bloomfield Hills, were impressed with
what the Turkins had already built from
scratch. They were enthusiastic about the
bakery's growth potential, which led them
to investing their time, talents and dollars.
"One of the reasons my brother and I
invested in Just Baked is the tremendous
possibilities the company has to expand
beyond Southeast Michigan:' said Ryan
Goodman. "We see the opportunity for
Just Baked cupcakes to be pleasing palates
throughout the state of Michigan, into
Ohio, ultimately throughout the Midwest
and then across the country!"
Both Goodman brothers bring to the
table a wealth of real estate knowledge
and experience.
The Goodmans have put their real
estate prowess to work opening a Just
Baked kiosk in Great Lakes Crossing, bro-
kering a new shop at the corner of 12 Mile
and Telegraph roads in Southfield, signing
a deal for the first kiosk location outside
of Michigan in Toledo, Ohio, while explor-
ing growth opportunities in the Grand
Rapids, Ohio and Lansing markets.
"Ryan and Eric have been tremendous
assets to us since they've joined the team:'
Turkin said. "Their deep knowledge of the
real estate market and ability to broker
deals on our behalf has been enormously
valuable in our short-term growth and
will help fuel our long-term growth plan:'
The team is currently assembling a
plan for national Just Baked expansion in
mall kiosks throughout the country.
"A Just Baked Cupcakes model does
not need a big space to be profitable said
Eric Goodman. "That's why we believe
one of the keys to our future success is a
mall kiosk program. Having a space in the
middle of a busy shopping center where
people can see and smell the product ...
It's that type of interaction that will ulti-
mately make the difference in growing the
Just Baked brand:'
In addition to real estate transactions,
Eric also has been assisting with the
operational side of the business.
"I heard the company needed another
taste-tester, so how could I resist?" joked
Eric. "But in all seriousness, I'm really
focusing a lot of my attention on the
day-to-day operations of Just Baked, help-
ing to make sure things are running as
smoothly and efficiently as possible.
"Pam has done a tremendous job in
developing the most amazing and deli-
cious products, and my brother and I are
here to support her in the most meaning-
ful ways that we can. We all want to enjoy
this sweet success together:'
Ryan is married to wife, Jolie, and they
are parents to son AJ, 9, a third-grader at
Hillel Day School. Eric and wife, Sharon,
have one daughter, Lexi, 3, and a son,
Blake, 5, also Hillel Day School students.
They are members of Adat Shalom
Synagogue in Farmington Hills and
supporters of the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit.
