Lag B'Omer Celebrated At
Great Jewish Family Fest

I

n honor of Lag b'Omer, more than
500 people came together May 18 for
a wonderful day at Heritage Park in
Farmington Hills. It was the first Great
Jewish Family Festival put on by The
Shul-Chabad Lubavitch. Participants
enjoyed activities including moon bounc-
es, face painting, archery, Krav Maga and
much more.
Thanks to donors and 60 volunteers,
the event was offered free of charge to
the entire Jewish community. A deli-

cious buffet of barbecue food was pro-
vided by Chef Can Kosher Catering.
The highlight of the event was live
music by Avy Schreiber around a grand
bonfire. Children and adults were roast-
ing marshmallows and enjoying cotton
candy. The crowd sang and danced
around the fire to Jewish favorites, along
with the dancing clowns who added a
festive air. Everyone enjoyed a feeling of
camaraderie and Jewish pride, celebrat-
ing together as a community. ❑
