The Sinai Medical Staff Foundation is pleasesd to report that
during its fiscal year July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014

Jewish Federation Camp Tamarack
Medical supplies for summer camp

Hebrew Free Loan-loans to medical, dental
and nursing students

Jewish Family Service-assistance to persons with
preventable chronic diseases including heart diseases,
obesity and diabetes

Karmanos Cancer Centers Cord Stem
Cell Bank Research

Henry Ford health System-mobile unit to assist children
in Detroit who don't have access to medical services

AID DETROIT KIDS

MAKE KIDS' BLANKETS

Through June 23. NCJW/Greater Detroit
Section has been selected to take part in
Art Van's Million Dollar Charity Challenge to
raise money for its latest project, the Back
2 School Store. The store is a one-day event
on Aug.10 to help Detroit students in need
have the right tools for a successful school

10 am noon. National Council of Jewish
Women/Greater Detroit Section needs
volunteers to meet every Monday to make
blankets for children in need. No sewing

Sinai Scholars Fund (see and first installment on
pledge of $250,000 in 2009) reserved into field of
neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's and
Parkinson's additionally the Foundation made a
pledge of $250,000 payable over five years to
University of Michigan, Department of Neurology
to further research into the field of neurological
diseases.

FRIDAY, JUNE 6

D-DAY MOVIE

7 pm. On the 70th anniversary of D-Day,
view Saving Private Ryan at Royal Oak
Emagine Theater to benefit the Michigan
WWII Legacy Memorial to be built at Royal
Oak's Memorial Park. $19.44 a ticket.
