Jodie (Kaufman)
and Jamie Davis of

to announce the birth
of their daughter,
Madeline Brooke,

Davis
Grandparents are Sue
and Alan Kaufman of
Bloomfield Hills, and Lynda and Ken

are Ceil Singer and Lillian Kaufman,
both of West Bloomfield, and Fay Wolk
of Toronto. Madeline is named in loving
memory of Max Efros, Minnie Singer

Lily Harmon
Kollin, daughter of
Dr. Elena Brand
and Andrew Kollin
and sister of Elijah,
will read from the
Torah as she cele-
brates her bat
Kollin
mitzvah Saturday,
Jan. 25, at Temple
Israel in West Bloomfield. Sharing
in the simchah will be grandparents
Sharyanne and Dr. Arnold Kollin,
Joan Brand and Leslie Brand. She is
also the grandchild of the late Jerry
Brand.
Lilly attends Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. She felt it was very important
to donate funds to Room to Read, an
organization building schools and
educational opportunities for chil-
dren without access to education.
Emma Arden
Morganroth will be
called to the Torah
as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Jan. 25,
during Havdalah ser-
vices at Temple Beth
El in Bloomfield
Morganroth
Township. She is the
daughter of Andrea
and Erik Morganroth and the sister of
Max. Proud grandparents are David
and Linda Palugyay. Emma is also the
granddaughter of the late Janice and
the late Fred Morganroth, and the late
Shirley Palugyay.
Emma is a student at Derby Middle
School in Birmingham. She has com-
pleted many mitzvah projects but her
most meaningful was participating in
the JFS fall fix-up program, where she
helped clean up the yard of a Holocaust
survivor and then heard her story.
Carly Logan
Kowalsky will lead
the congregation in
prayer at Temple
Israel in West
Bloomfield Friday,
Jan. 24, as she cele-
brates her bat mitz-
Kowalsky
vah. She is the
daughter of Alysa

sister of Chloe. Her proud grandpar-
ents are Sharon and Herb Bidlofsky.
She is also the grandchild of the late

Middle School in Walled Lake. She
felt her most meaningful mitzvah
project was her involvement at West
Bloomfield-based Friendship Circle
Friends at Home program.

from the Torah on
the occasion of his
bar mitzvah
Saturday, Jan. 25, at

Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield. His
sister Avery and proud grandparents
Stephanie and Alan Dorfman, and
Susan and Michael Salesin will share
in the simchah. Jordan is the great-
grandson of Rae Weiss and Ann
Sloman. His late great-grandparents
are William Sloman, Betty and Lou
Salesin, Harry Dorfman, and Roz and
William Schwartz.
Jordan is a student at Cranbrook
Kingswood Boys Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills. Volunteering with
West Bloomfield-based Friendship
Circle, assisting primarily with Miracle
Baseball League, was the mitzvah proj-
ect he felt was the most meaningful.
