been selected to
become a member of

of High School
Scholars. He is a stu-
dent at the Jean and
Menczer
Samuel Frankel
Jewish Academy in West Bloomfield.
The selection was based on his demon-
stration of outstanding leadership,
scholarship and community commit-
ment.

The Walled Lake
Consolidated School
District announced
that Harrison
Seltzer, tenor saxo-
phone player, was
among those students
selected to the 2014
Seltzer
U.S. Army All-
American Marching Band. His selection
was based solely on auditions; recom-
mendations were not considered during
the selection process. He will perform
with the rest of the U.S. Army All-
American Marching Band members on
Jan. 4, 2014, at the Alamo Bowl in San
Antonio, Texas. Seltzer is the son of
Marian Keidan and Phillip Seltzer and
plans to attend either the University of
Michigan or Michigan State University
to study pre-med. He is also a member
of the Walled Lake Central Jazz Band
and National Honor Society.
