Jacqueline earned her bachelor of science
in elementary education from Oakland
University. She went on to earn her master's
in early childhood education, also from
Oakland University. She teaches first grade.
Mark earned his bachelor of science in
business administration from Wayne State
University. He is employed at Bed Bath &
Beyond as a manager.
An August wedding is planned.

r. Joan Goodman and Robert and
Dorothy Ganz of Albany, N.Y., are
thrilled to announce the engage-
ment of their daughter Miriam Liora Ganz to
Rabbi Daniel Seth Horwitz, son of Gina and
Arthur Horwitz of West Bloomfield.
Miriam earned her bachelor's degree in
musical theater and secondary education at
American University and her master's degree
. •
in interpretation from Gallaudet University.
In addition to rabbinic ordination, Daniel
earned a B.A. in politics, master's degrees
in Jewish studies, Jewish education and
sport management and is a graduate of the
University of Michigan Law School.
The couple reside in Washington, D.C., where Miriam is a certified sign lan-
guage interpreter, and Daniel is the rabbi and director of immersive learning for
Moishe House International.
An October wedding in New York is planned.
