Finn, daughter of
Brad and Jo Finn,

celebrated her bat
mitzvah on Saturday,
May 18, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue
in Farmington Hills.
Sharing in the occa-
sion were her twin
sister, Isabelle, brother, Samuel, and
proud grandparents Marilyn Epstein,
Claire Finn, and Leonard and Jeanette
Finn. She is also the granddaughter of
the late Marvin Epstein.
Sydney is a student at Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
She enjoyed volunteering at Regent
Street and participating in J-Serve as
part of her mitzvah project.

Jared Lance Grimes

will lead the congre-
gation at Temple
Israel in West
Bloomfield on
Saturday, June 22,
when he is called to
the bimah as a bar
Grimes
mitzvah. He is the
son of Felicia and
Mark Grimes and the older brother of
Lindsey and Caitlyn. Sharing in the
celebration will be his grandparents
Judy and Erwin Rubenstein of West
Bloomfield, and Charlene Grimes of
Lake Wylie, S.C. He is also the grand-
son of the late Robert Grimes. His
proud great-grandfather is Richard
Smith of Canyon Lake, Texas.
Jared was a student at Abbott
Middle School and will attend West
Bloomfield High School in the fall.
As part of his mitzvah experience,
he helped pack food for Yad Ezra in
Berkley and felt this an important
community activity.

Ryan Lee-Yago
Horwitz celebrated

becoming a bar
mitzvah at Temple
Kol Ami in West
Bloomfield on
Friday, May 24, as he
played the drums to
Horwitz
accompany the band
for Shabbat Live!
Saturday, May 25, he was called to the
bimah to read from the Torah. Sharing
in his simchah were his parents, Laurie
and David Horwitz, along with sister
Ayla. Proud grandparents are Barbara
and Jack Dorfman, and Carol and Ron
Horwitz.
Ryan is a student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield.
He had different mitzvah projects, but
the one closest to his heart is raising

awareness for autoimmune disease.
Ryan set up a Facebook page, Raising
Awareness for Autoimmune Disease,
where he is offering to donate one
month's allowance for every 1,000 likes
he gets.

celebrates his bar
mitzvah at Temple
Israilov
Israel in West
Bloomfield. He is the
grandson of Raisa and Mikhail Israilov,
and Nina and Talkhum Liviyev.
Jason is a student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield. He
participated in a math-athon to donate
funds to St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital and felt this was a meaningful
mitzvah experience.

His parents, Paul and
Deborah Kolin, and

extremely proud of his accomplish-
ments. Grandparents will be travelling
in from New York and Florida.
Evan is a student at Bloomfield Hills
Middle School. His mitzvah projects
include collecting money and sports
equipment for projects in Detroit and
building a baseball field in Israel.
