Network Cake Challenges. She has
also worked for Martha Stewart, the
Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Manhattan
and as a personal chef for basketball
star Michael Jordan. She will demon-
strate how to prepare a few delicious,
quick and easy recipes.
Donor Day is Sisterhood's annual
fundraising event. Sponsorship dona-
tions begin at $45 per person for the
day. The event is chaired by Janis
Holcman and Norma Dorman, both
of West Bloomfield.

Jewish And Chaldean
Community Potluck
Take part in building a bridge of
cultural understanding between the
Jewish and Chaldean communities
in Metro Detroit Wednesday, May
1, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Eastern
Catholic Re-Evangelization Center
(ECRC), 4875 West Maple Road in
Bloomfield Township.
Bring a dish to pass and enjoy an
opportunity to socialize, taste foods
from both cultures, hear about a joint
social action initiative, take a tour of
the ECRC, and listen to music from
both the Chaldean and Jewish tradi-
tions as well as help the community.
To help the needy, bring some of
the following items: gently used medi-
cal equipment (walkers, canes); new
hygiene products (shampoo, deodor-
ant, lotion, soap, etc.); new bedding,
sheets and mattress covers; or new
socks and underwear (all sizes).

Include your name, phone number
and email address, as well as what
you will bring to the potluck to feed
15-20 people. Bring an index card to
the event with the name of your dish
and a list of the ingredients.
