ETHEL R. TRAURIG, 93, of West
Bloomfield, died March 16, 2013.
She is survived by her sons, Joel Traurig
of Pleasanton, Calif., Marc Traurig; daugh-
ter, Carol Trefry of Deerfield Beach, Fla.;
grandchildren, Lauren and Jenna; many
loving family members and friends.
Mrs. Traurig was the beloved wife of
the late Simon Traurig; the mother of the
late Harriet Traurig; companion of the late
Al Sofferin; the sister of the late Manny
Ravet.
Interment took place at the Machpelah
Cemetery in Ferndale. Contributions
may be made to JARC. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.

• The obituary for Sylvia Markel (March
14) should have indicated that a memorial
service will be held at Kaufman Chapel
on Sunday, April 14, at 2 p.m. The fam-
ily will welcome visitors on the evening
of April 13 at the home of Dr. Sheldon
Markel, 3975 Waldenwood Drive in Ann
Arbor, and after the service on April 14 at
the home of Jane Gertz, 1505 Holland in
Birmingham.
