MICHAEL LLOYD KUSHNER, for-
merly of Detroit and Columbia, Md.,
passed away Feb. 4, 2013.
He was the beloved husband of
Phyllis Kushner; devoted father of
Amy Beth (David) Mandelbaum, and
Aaron Jacob (Rachel Atyeo) Kushner;
cherished grandfather of Julia and Sam
Mandelbaum and Tobias Kushner; lov-
ing brother of Barry Kushner. He is also
survived by his aunt, Rose Schwartz;
cousins, Richard Felch, Deborah
Buglisi; loving in-laws, Roberta Lazar
and John Lazar, Art and Sherry
Wolfson, Gary and Darcy Wolfson;
many nephews and great-nieces.

BARBARA MAJORIE (EPSTEIN)
LEVICK, 83, of West Bloomfield, died
Feb. 7, 2013.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and
moved to Detroit as a teenager. She
attended Central High School. She was
an avid sports fan and adopted all the
Detroit teams as her own even though
she loved New York.
Mrs. Levick is survived by her six
children and their spouses: Vickie

Jaslove, Randee Levick (Craig)
Bassin, Lynn Levick, Keith (Debbie)
Levick, Beth Jaslove; grandchildren,
Erik, Michelle, Maaike, Sjoerd, Lily,

Stacey, George, Scott, Emily Rose,
Lauren, Bradley, Lisa and Jessica;
great-grandchildren, Justice, Maverick,
Madelyn, Joel and Emily Ann.
She was the wife of the late Kenneth
Levick.
There will be no formal funeral.

Sternberg on Sept.
11, 1930, and moved to Detroit as a
teenager. She graduated from Edwin
Denby High School and attended
Wayne State University as a fine arts
major. It was there she met and mar-
ried Raymond Harold Glassman. They
had one son, Anthony. She eventually
married Nick Pappas and had a son,
Nicholas, who was developmentally dis-
abled and led to her work as an arbitra-
