Elkiss, Noa Elkiss and Max Elkiss;
brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Sheldon
and Dr. Geraldine Markel; sister and
brother-in-law, Jane and Steven Gertz.
Mrs. Elkiss was the beloved wife
of the late Stanley Elkiss; the devoted
daughter of the late David and the late
Sylvia Markel.
Interment was at Beth El Memorial

ALBERT FILL, 79,
of West Bloomfield,
died Feb. 7, 2013.
He was born in
Toronto, Ontario,
July 29, 1933, and
came to the United
States at a young
Fill
age. He graduated
from Central High then from Hillsdale
College, where he was the found-
ing father of the first nonsectarian
fraternity at that institution. He was
awarded an honorary doctor of busi-
ness administration from Hillsdale.
Mr. Fill built and was administrator
for 25 years of Martin Place Hospital
(currently St. John's Oakland General
Hospital). He was Fellow and past
president of the American College of
Osteopathic Hospital Administrators.
He had an avid interest in show busi-
ness and the local sporting world. He
managed Eddie Kendricks, formerly
of the Temptations, and vocalist James
Randolph. Over the years, he also
became personal friends with many
local sports figures.
Mr. Fill is survived by the love of his
life, Ilene Horowitz; his son, Jeffrey Fill;
nieces and nephews, Larry and Andrea
Lerman, Dylan Handelsman, Sandra
Zimberg, Carol Grant and Norman Fill
and his loving family, Roslind Hayes,
Renee and Bob Handelsman, Lynn
and Frank Iannaccone. He also leaves
behind many other loving nieces,
nephews, great-nieces and great-neph-
ews, cousins and a world of devoted
friends. He will be sorely missed and
eternally loved by all.
Contributions may be made to a
charity of one's choice. Interment took
place at the Clover Hill Park Cemetery
in Birmingham. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.
DAVID M. FRIED, 92, of Juno Beach,
Fla., died Feb. 9, 2013.
He is survived by his daughters and
sons-in-law, Paula and Louis Bugbee,
Judith Fried and Gary Hayes, and Beth
and Mark Haskell; grandchildren, Scott
Kipfer, Jennifer Austin, Danielle and
Sean Bugbee, and Noah Haskell; many
nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Fried was the beloved husband
of the late Galah Fried; the devoted
father of the late Sandra Fried Kipfer;
the loving brother of the late Helen
Rubin, the late Dorothy Cornell and the
late Mary Miller.
Interment was at Beth El Memorial
Park Cemetery. Contributions may

HERBERT C. GORMAN, 79, of
Bloomfield Hills, died Feb. 4, 2013.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Erna Gorman of Bloomfield Hills; sons
and daughter-in-law, Mark Gorman of
South Hero, Vt., Bob and Ruth Gorman
of Highland Park, Ill.; grandchildren,
Julia Gorman, Lily Gorman and Sydney
Gorman; many other loving family
members and friends.

took place at the Hebrew Memorial
Park Cemetery in Clinton Township.

LILLIAN
GREENWALD, 91,
of Oak Park, died
Feb. 3, 2013.
She worked as a
fashion consultant
for more than 50
years in many of
Greenwald
Detroit's finest shops
and will be remembered by many for
helping to find just that right outfit.
She was a longtime active member of
Temple Emanu-El and enjoyed her
congregational family. Mrs. Greenwald
maintained her beauty, love of life and
sense of humor right to her peaceful
passing.
She is survived by her loving daugh-
ter, Judy Greenwald; brother, Alexander
Dershowitz of Oak Park; nephews and
nieces, Drs. Mark (Renee) Dershwitz,
David (Fanny) Greenwald, Larry
(Marlene) Dershow, Linda (Hal) Noyes;
caregivers, Tonya and Gloria Watson;
many other loving family members and
friends.
