"Achieving a beautiful and HEALTHY smile with braces"

r. Leslie and Renay Taub of
Commerce Township, and Carol
Battin and Samuel Mayer of
Stamford, Conn., are delighted to announce
the engagement of their children Randi Shira
Taub and Philip Scott Mayer.

the University of Michigan and J.D. from the
University of Michigan Law School. She is a
compliance officer with Bank Leumi USA in
New York City.
Phil earned his bachelor's degree from
the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton
School and master's degree from New York

A March 2013 wedding is planned in New York City, where the couple reside.

Those who wear the non-removable orthodontic appliances known, as
braces must guard against stains and decay springing up around the
edges of brackets and bands by paying meticulous attention to oral
hygiene.

In addition to routine brushing at least three times per day, all
orthodontic patients should also practice daily flossing. Since
brushing and flossing with braces can be challenging for many
patients, there are many tools and techniques that we can offer to
make these challenges simple to overcome. We recommend that
all our patients also use a fluoride rinse at bedtime to preserve the
health and integrity of their teeth.

While an electric toothbrush may help many patients, any soft bristle
toothbrush can be used. If the plaque is properly removed, the
teeth will move more efficiently, remain cavity-free, and stain-free.
For patients with work or school, our office also provides a travel
toothbrush, which makes it more convenient to brush when not at
home.

In general, excellent orthodontic treatment can only be obtained with
cooperative and informed patients. Once orthodontic therapy begins,
the patient will be expected to continue to see the family dentist for
regular check-ups, dental cleanings and routine care. Routine dental
care will help ensure the best results from orthodontic therapy and
allow us to work with your dentist to create a beautiful and healthy
smile to last a lifetime!!

Drs. Hersh, Beattie and Isenberg invite you to join our patient family.
Our state-of-the-art facilities are located in West Bloomfield/Commerce
Township, 2300 Haggerty Road, Suite 1160, 248-926-4100 and in
