Ari attends Derby Middle School
in Birmingham, where he recently
coordinated a toy drive benefiting the
Pediatric Oncology Center at Beaumont
Hospital as his mitzvah project.

mitzvah on Shabbat
morning, Jan. 19, at
Temple Emanu El in
Oak Park. She is the
daughter of Lisa and
Feber
Kevin and sister of
Rebecca. Proud grand-
parents are Lorraine and Dan Feber,
and Marlene Bieman. She is also the
granddaughter of the late Leonard
Bieman.
Gabrielle is a seventh-grader at
Kingswood Girls Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills. One of her favorite
mitzvah projects was singing at a senior
center.

Mara is in seventh grade at Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills. She
enjoys volunteering at Almost Home, a
no-kill animal shelter in Southfield.

Hebrew Congregation, Washington,
D.C. She will share the bimah with her
grandfather Dr. Gilbert (Ruth) Plotnik
of West Bloomfield, who will celebrate
his bar mitzvah. Maddye attends
Thomas Pyle Middle School in
Bethesda, Md. For her mitzvah project,
she is collecting holiday toys for Sinai
Hospital in Baltimore, Md.

Sarah Jo Mandel will
celebrate her bat
mitzvah during
Havdalah services
Saturday, Jan. 19, at
Temple Israel in West
Bloomfield. She is the
daughter of Lauren
Mandel
and Jay Mandel and
the sister of Rachel,
Dov and Erin. Her proud grandparents
are Sheila and Dr. David Lipschutz, and
Rene Mandel. She is also the grandchild
of the late Thomas "Tommy" Mandel.
Sarah attends Bloomfield Hills
Middle School. She participated in sev-
eral different mitzvah projects but felt
her involvement in On the Rise Bakery
was the most meaningful.

Isabella Esther

called to the Torah as
a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Jan. 19, at
Congregation Beth
Ahm in West
Rosenberg
Bloomfield. She is the
daughter of Jody and
Scott Rosenberg. Sharing in the sim-
chah will be proud grandparents Ginger
and Bob Penfil. Isabella is also the
granddaughter of the late Sydney and
the late Maxine Rosenberg.
Isabella is in seventh grade at Hillel
Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. Although she did
many mitzvah projects, her favorite
was wrapping gifts to collect money for
Michigan Pug Rescue.

Sammy, will be called
to the Torah as a bar
mitzvah on Saturday,
Jan. 19, at the JCC of
Schlussel
Oak Park. His proud
grandparents are
Rosie and Mark Schlussel, and Peggy
and Stuart LaKind.
Gabe is a seventh-grade student
at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills. He helped
to raise more than $13,000 dollars for
Juvenile Diabetes last year.
