Zager-Ross

D

r. Bernard Zager and Jeanann
(Cohen) Ross were married
recently in Las Vegas. Both are
Detroiters who graduated from Central High
School in 1943 and 1945. After dating, they
took separate paths. There was no contact
for 65 years until they found each other via
the Internet. Channel 3 (NBC) featured their
unique story. At 86 and 84, they are making
their home in Las Vegas.
Dr. Zager practiced at Grace and Sinai
Hospitals before relocating to California,
where he was medical director for the
Nuclear Division of G.E. He served in a MASH unit during the Korean War.
Jeanann was a legal secretary for the Wayne County Road Commission. She was
active in many Jewish organizations until she moved to Los Angeles with her
mother and sister Sylvia. She was a judicial secretary for the LA Municipal Court
before retiring to Las Vegas.

Brown were recently married at
vh. Lovett Hall at The Henry Ford.
Rabbi Daniel Schwartz of Temple Shir
Shalom in West Bloomfield officiated.
Parents of the bride are her mother, Anne
Lane, and her father and his wife, Arthur
Abplanalp and Diane France. Parents of the
groom are Rhonda and Morris Brown.
The bride's attendants were her cousins
Katie Hillenbrand, Hatton Gravely, Gordon
Lane and Liz Lane. Her attendant-in-
training was her 4-year-old cousin Caroline
Lane.
The groom's attendants were his sister and brother-in-law, Erica and Steve
Attanasio; his attendants-in-training were his nephews, Ethan and Dylan
Attanasio.
Also participating in the ceremony were cousins Isabella and Jonah Cimmino,
and Hannah and Avi Meltser.
The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and reside in Berkley.

Bloomfield Hills and Diane and
Jon Rappaport of Orono, Minn.,
announce the engagement of their children,
Jody Michele and Fred Jacob.
Jody is the granddaughter of Pearl and
Bob Solomon, Arlene and Asher Tilchin, and
Elyse and Jerome Schostak.
Fred is the grandson of Shirley and Harvey
Ansel, the late Betty Rappaport Nathanson
and the late Fred Rappaport.
