that we really enjoyed.

1. BLACKBIRD BLACKBIRD -
BORACAY PLANET
Boracay Planet is a smooth melodic album
that ebbs and flows into soothing vocals
with a slightly psychedelic sound that is
steeped in experimental beats, surf rock
echoes, folk and dreamy electronica. One
might say that it's music to dream by.
Mikey Maramag is the musical creative
mind that is Blackbird Blackbird.
2. DONALD FAGEN -
SUNKEN CONDOS
Donald Fagen has been creating jazzy
pop that is filled with soul since the early
1970s. His newest release, Sunken Condos,
is swirled in toe-tapping beats and catchy
lyrics. It's a cool breath of fresh air. If you
tend to lean toward music heavily steeped
in jazz and soul, then this is an album for
you to kick back and enjoy.

my top-five favorite albums of 2012; its a
beautiful composite of rock, soaked in me-
lodic beats, with a creative panache that
emanates throughout the whole record.
