of Southfield celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on
Aug. 15 with friends and family who were
present at their wedding in 1962. A trip to
Russia highlighted their years together. It
was 100 years ago that Helen's father, who
had been scheduled to board the Titanic,
arrived in the United States.

Bloomfield celebrated their 55th
anniversary on Aug. 24. Their
children are Janet Schneider and Andrew
Kahn, Steven and Michele Schneider, and
Marci and Andrew Klein. Their grandchil-
dren are Lucy, Aaron, Melissa, Erica, Sofia
and Julia. The couple and their family will
celebrate with a cruise in December.

be married on Sept. 8 at Alba
Vineyard in Milford, N.J. Rabbi
Howard Cove of Congregation Kol Emet in
Yardley, Pa., will officiate.
The bride's brother, Seth Rosenfeld, will
be the groom's best man; and the groom's
sister, Emma Kysel, will be the bride's maid
of honor.
The couple graduated from Swarthmore
College, where they met. They live in New
York City. The bride, 31, is a Ph.D. candidate
in the Department of Politics at Princeton
University. She received an M.A. in poli-
tics from Princeton in 2011 and worked previously at the U.S. Department of
State. She is the daughter of Dr. Raymond Rosenfeld and Janelle McCammon of
Bloomfield Township. The bride's parents are members of Temple Beth El, where
the bride's father is temple president.
The groom, 30, is the Aryeh Neier Fellow at Human Rights Watch and the
American Civil Liberties Union. He received a J.D. from Georgetown University
in 2010. He is the son of Paul and Kristine Kysel of Michigan City, Ind.
