Schwartz 50th

ary and Burt Schwartz will
celebrate their 50th wedding
anniversary on Aug. 26. A
cruise is planned with their children and
grandchildren. Their children are Jay and
Annabelle Schwartz, Julie and Eric Silberg,
and Cathy and Brian Schwartz. The couple
are blessed to have nine grandchildren,
Henry, Saffron and Quentin Schwartz,
Jacob, Adam, Ryan and Kayla Silberg, and
Sophia and Theo Schwartz.

their daughter Carolyn Jean Feldman to
Andrew Eric Blechman, son of Rosanne
and Karl Blechman of Ossining, N. Y.
Carolyn graduated from Michigan State
University with a degree in environmental
science. She is a program manager at the
North American headquarters of DENSO
International in Southfield.
Andrew received bachelor's degrees
in mathematics and physics from the
University of Rochester in New York and a
master's and Ph.D. in physics from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
He also held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Toronto and Wayne
State University. Andrew teaches physics at the Roeper Upper School in
Birmingham and is an adjunct professor at Wayne State University.
An October wedding is planned at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield.
