nominee and Director of the new Mayrent
Institute for Yiddish Culture at the University
of Wisconsin, as he explores the millennial-
old history of traditional klezmer music. In his
presentation, Dr. Sapoznik will be sampling some
of the hidden recorded treasures in the collection
of the over 6,000 Yiddish 78s that are part of the
Mavrent Collection at the University's Mills Music
