DOLORES "DONNIE"
SCHOSTAK ROTH, 85,
of Miami, Fla., died April
10, 2012.
Mrs. Roth is survived
by her brother and sister-
in-law, Jerome L. and
Elyse Schostak; Schostak
Roth
nieces and nephews,
Lindsey Schostak Gal
(Assaf), Stefanie, Bobby (Nancy), David
(Elise), Tzvi (Dorit) and Mark (Lillian);
and many great-nieces, great-nephews and
cousins.
Mrs. Roth was the mother of the late
Janet Roth and the late Ronna Roth and
the daughter of the late Goldie and the late
Louis H. Schostak.
Interment was at Temple Beth-El
Cemetery in Florida. Contributions may be
made to Hillel Day School in Farmington
Hills or to a charity of one's choice.

GEORGE M. RUBIN, 94, of Huntington
Woods, died April 13, 2012.
He is survived by his son and daughter-
in-law, Dr. Steven and Helene Rubin of
Bloomfield Hills; grandchildren, Daniel,
Sarah, Harry; nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Rubin was the beloved husband of
the late Matilda Rubin.

Contributions may be made to Hebrew
Benevolent Society, 26640 Greenfield Road,
Oak Park, MI 48237. Interment was at
Adat Shalom Memorial Park in Livonia.

MARSHALL STILLMAN, 72, of
Bloomfield Hills, died April 3, 2012.
He was a self-employed rental property
realtor.
Mr. Stillman is survived by his wife of 52
years, Rochelle Stillman; sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Jeffrey and Andrea Stillman of
West Bloomfield, and Michael and Alicia
Stillman, also of West Bloomfield; grand-
children, Shayna Stillman, Seth Stillman,
Karly Stillman, Emily Stillman and Zachary
Stillman; mother, Beatrice Stillman of
Birmingham; brother-in-law and sister-in-
law, Jack Wein and Susan Desuter.
He was the devoted son of the late Joseph
Stillman; the dear son-in-law of the late Al
and the late Sema Wein.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501
St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.

SIDNEY ZIRULNIK, 92, of Huntington
Woods, died April 14, 2012.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-
in-law, Sandor Zirulnik and Fran Burgess
of California, Gary Zirulnik and Susan
Orbach of Royal Oak, and Donald Zirulnik
of California; grandchildren, Martin Zirulnik
and January Storrs, Alexandra Zirulnik, Ari
Zirulnik, Elliot Zirulnik, Sasha Zirulnik and
Kate Zirulnik; great-granddaughter, Isabel
Zirulnik; sister, Dorothy Solomon of Illinois;
brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lee and
Joyce Goldin.
Mr. Zirulnik was the beloved husband of
the late Ann Zirulnik; the dear father-in-law
of the late Winfred VonEhrenberg.
Interment was at Workmen's Circle
Cemetery. Contributions may be made to

5) should have indicated that he is survived

Computer Pioneer

(JTA) — Jack Tramiel, an
Auschwitz survivor and founder of
Commodore International, which
pioneered low-cost home comput-
ers, died April 9, 2012, at 83.
His company launched the Vic20,
Commodore PET and Commodore
64 computers in the 1980s. The
latter went on to be one of the
best-selling computer models of
all time.
He was born Jacek Trzmiel in
Lodz, Poland, in 1928. His family
was put in the Lodz ghetto and
then sent to Auschwitz, where he
came face-to-face with Dr. Josef
Mengele. His family perished in the
camp. He was liberated and later
joined the U. S. Army where he
learned how to repair office equip-
ment.
He moved from New York to
Toronto to import typewriters and
started manufacturing them. In the
late 1960s, he went to California's
nascent Silicon Valley, where
Commodore began manufacturing
electronic calculators.
