EriMMIN GAMPEL is an outstanding historian and lecturer.
He holds the Dina and Eli Field Family
Chair in Jewish History at The Jewish Theo-
logical Seminary and teaches courses in
medieval and early modern Jewish history,
with a special focus on medieval
Sephardim. He lectures widely on the entire
range of Jewish history.
An energetic scholar and teacher, Dr.
Gampel is dedicated to bringing the history
of the Jews to a broad public audience. He
has addressed synagogues and lay groups, diverse organiza-
tions and scholarly conclaves, and has appeared frequently
on television.
Dr. Gampel was very enthusiastically received as Adat
Shalom's featured SYNergy guest last winter. This year he
will discuss three new topics, on Friday evening, Saturday fol-
lowing Kiddush, and on Sunday morning with religious school
sixth graders and their parents.
