7- The Deal!

OTPOURRI .• •
When folks think of Las Vegas,
their minds naturally wend
toward visions of big lights, gambling,
great shows and all-around short-time
fun.
The hidden charm enjoyed by guys and
gals who live there is overlooked by those
who write of the wonders in Las Vegas
... Sure there's gambling, plenty of good
shows, electric lights to stagger the most
vivid imagination and very late hours ...
But many of the guys 'n' gals who work
there live very normal lives.
As one Vegas-ite puts it, "In Detroit,
for example, working at General Motors,
Ford or Chrysler doesn't mean staying all
day and night. Working in the casinos is
a job just like everything else:'
The natives in Las Vegas love to work
and live there, enjoying the many things
it has to offer besides gambling and
night life ... Getting off work to many
means going home to the family, looking
forward to some fishing and hunting or
watching their Little League youngsters
slide into first base.

Living and working in Las Vegas isn't
the endless party one might think.

The week before, it was the marinated

bed of romaine lettuce, tomatoes and
croutons.
"Debbie this week had the R.P.

topped with cheddar cheese on a kaiser
roll. Last week, she enjoyed a luscious.

bacon, provolone and parmesan cheeses,

"The menu at Granger's is simple, but
wonderful with fresh and overly large
salads, soups that include the big favor-
ite, Bahamian conch chowder, dinners
like the coconut chicken or garlic steak
or Cajun ribeye, a great salmon Reuben,
etc. plus a category called, Don't Know
What I Want' that features various din-
ners and sandwiches that make the pal-
ate dance.
"When finished, don't leave without
having the homemade donut holes. They
are simply indescribable:'
