Air — Sports, Too

BLUES FEST
Since its debut in 2001, when a group of volunteers got together to raise money for
charity, what has become the Ferndale Metro Blues Festival, averaging more than 60
concerts held over nine days at two dozen locations in downtown Ferndale and neighbor-
ing cities, has become hugely popular, even an officially sanctioned event of the Super
Bowl XL in 2006. This year's lineup of notable blues, jazz and rock musicians includes the
Howling Diablos, Howard Glazer & the EL34s, the Luddites, Albert Young & Straight 8s and

High-end food, low-end prices! The annual Birmingham Restaurant Week returns for
two weeks of fantastic feasts at more than 20 participating restaurants. Sample Ruby Red
