Easily Hailing a Cab Uptown

ure, the beautiful people never have trouble catching a
cab to the Upper West Side for a show at Lincoln Center
— must be nice! Now, you can be the envy of those
downtown hipsters — aspiring to attend the Metropolitan
Opera — when The Met: Live in HD makes its celluloid
return to Detroit.
Of course, if you need the real deal, we've got that, too.
Opera ... You think we're crazy? Perhaps. Maybe we could
use some analysis. Got that, too. How about catching a Paul
Simon show? Not the former U.S. senator, silly.
And, what Thanksgiving would be complete without
an excessively early countdown to Christmas? Need an
early yuletide fix? White Christmas will get you through.
(We'll likely pay for that last comment.) Sop up the gravy,
Detroit!

ANALYZE THIS!

St. Germain's award-winning off-Broadway play, Freud's Last
Session. Through Nov. 20. $33.50-$44.50. Century Theatre, 333
Madison Ave., Detroit. (313) 963-9800; gemtheatre.com ;
