JARED BRYAN
GOLDENBERG, 34,
of Westland, died
June 3, 2011.
A graduate of
Berkley High School,
he then attended
Western Michigan
Goldenberg
University. He was
a talented artist and played piano and
trombone during high school.
Mr. Goldenberg is survived by his
devoted parents, Ronald and Sharon
(Gaspas) Goldenberg of Birmingham;
beloved fiancee, Angela Smith of
Brownstown; his precious son, Justin
Tyler, also of Brownstown; lov-
ing sisters and brother-in-law, Julie
Somberg, Jill and Jason Cook of Oak
Park; aunts and uncles, Shirleen and
Mark Pensler of Las Gatos, Calif., Gary
and Tammy Gaspas of Westland, Jerry
and Shawn Gaspas of Farmington
Hills; cousins, David Lansky, Trevor
Gaspas and Tristan Gaspas; nieces,
Jordyn Somberg, Madison Somberg,
Alexandra Cook and Bella Cook;
grandmother, Marion (Gaspas)
Robbins of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
He was the grandson of the late
Louis and the Ida Goldenberg and the
late Leo Gaspas.

SHIRLEY GORMEZANO, 85, of Oak
Park, died June 1, 2011.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Larry and Susan
Gormezano of West Bloomfield, Allan
and Tzipora Gormezano of Detroit;
brother and sister-in-law, Seymour
and Penny Greenstein of Southfield;
grandchildren, Yaakov Gormezano,
Yael Gormezano, Michelle Gormezano,
Karen and Nechemya Yeshurn, Miriam
and Yoli Silverstein; great-grandchil-
dren, Aryeh Leib Moshe Silverstein,
Yakova Yeshurn, Yaakov Silverstein.
Mrs. Gormezano was the beloved
wife of the late Jacob Gormezano; lov-
ing sister and sister-in-law of the late
Jeanette and the late Stanley Green.

BEATRICE GOSSMAN, 92, of
Farmington Hills, died June 4, 2011.
She is survived by her sons, Dr.
David Gossman of Westford, Mass.,
and Sanford Gossman of Calif.; sister,
Bernice Israel of Southfield; five loving
grandchildren; eight dear great-grand-
children; many loving nieces, nephews,
other family members and friends.
Mrs. Gossman was the beloved wife
of the late Joseph Gossman; mother of
the late Robert Gossman.
Interment at the Adat Shalom
Memorial Park Cemetery in Livonia.
Contributions may be made to a char-
ity of one's choice. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.

RABBI SHERMAN PHILLIP
KIRSHNER, died Saturday morning,
June 4, 2011, surrounded by his wife
and children.
He was born 77 years ago in
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He
was trained as a cantor, earned rab-
binic ordination along with a master's
degree, a doctorate and numerous
degrees, honoris causa. He worked as a
cantor and, since 1972, as a congrega-
tional rabbi.
His greatest achievements were
outside of the classroom and the
pulpit, where he raised four sons, the
late Gabriel, Elliott (Connie Hurst),
Laurence (Beth Naftaly) and David-
Seth (Dori Frumin) Kirshner. Barbara
Wolin Kirshner, his wife of 53 years,
was the light of his life, the stride in
his step. His greatest source of pride
were his eight grandchildren, Sarah-
Beth, Jacob, Caleb, Elizabeth, Zachary,
Benjamin, Eve and Elias Kirshner. He
will be sorely missed by his younger
sister, Reva Waldman.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery
in Flint. Contributions may be made
to Cantor's Assembly, Congregation
Anshei Shalom of Delray Beach,
Fla., or to a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements by Dorfman Chapel.

MIRIAM SUGARMAN LASERSON,
84, of Malden, Mass., formerly of
Everett, Mich., and Hollywood, Fla.,
died May 17, 2011.
She is survived by her daughters
and sons-in-law, Sandra and Ira
Krakow of Massachusetts, Cheryl
and Robert Fusco of Massachusetts;
son-in-law, Dr. Steven Lieberfarb;
brother and sister-in-law, Arthur
and Mary Sugarman of Farmington
Hills; grandchildren, Samuel Krakow,
Laura Sterns, Joseph Fusco, Rebecca
Lieberfarb and Daniel Lieberfarb;
great-grandchildren, Joshua Tzvi
