of their daughter Lindsay Beth to Joseph
Bennett Hegleman, son of Kathy and Barry
Karson of New York City and Monterey,
Mass. Joe is also the son of the late Stewart
Hegleman.
Lindsay is an event-marketing manager
at Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc. in New
York City and is a graduate of the University
of Wisconsin-Madison.
Joe is a music manager at Ron Shapiro
Management & Consulting in New York City
and also owns a music consulting business. He is a graduate of the University of
Michigan.
An August 2011 wedding is planned in the Berkshires.

ichele and Louie Elkus of West
Bloomfield and Walter and
Margie Ferst of Philadelphia,
Pa., are delighted to announce the engage-
ment of Rebecca Lynn Elkus and Judah
Benjamin Ferst. Judah is also the son of the
late Nancy Ferst.
Rebecca graduated from Michigan State
University with a B.A. in journalism and
a specialization in Jewish studies. She
earned an M.A. from the William Davidson
Graduate School of Jewish Education at the
Jewish Theological Seminary in 2009 and
is the assistant director of education/youth
and family programming at Congregation Habonim in New York.
Judah graduated from George Washington University with a B.A. in human
services. He spent the past five years working for Hillel of Greater Philadelphia.
He is pursuing his M.B.A. from Baruch College in New York.
A November wedding is planned at Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington Hills.

teve and Sandy Lowden of Savannah,
Ga., and Rick and Karen Halberg
of Farmington Hills are proud to
announce the engagement of their children
Jameson Lowden and Andy Halberg, now of
Phoenix, Ariz.
Jameson received her master's in social
work from the University of Michigan. She is
practicing as a therapist in Phoenix.
Andy received his osteopathic medical
degree at Michigan State University College
of Osteopathic Medicine and is about to
finish his residency in family medicine
and move closer to his sister.
Their wedding will be a beautiful, small, intimate affair in Savannah in April 2011.
