Emily attends Derby Middle School
in Birmingham. She has participated in
many mitzvah projects and continues to
enjoy volunteering at the Friendship Circle
in West Bloomfield.

Alexis Madison Carey

Mabel Gmazel. Allie is also the granddaugh-
ter of the late Richard Gooel, the late Douglas
Carey and the late Myron Kaufman and the
great-granddaughter of the late Bert and the
late Alma Gooel and the late Virginia Carey.
Allie is a seventh-grade student at West
Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
Her mitzvah project will include volun-
teering at the Fleischman Residence in
West Bloomfield.

bar mitzvah at Temple
Shir Shalom in West
Bloomfield Saturday, Dec.
11. He is very thankful to
Katzman
have his proud grandpar-
ents Maxine Ordower and
Sookie and Norman Ordower share this
special day with him. His grandparents, the
late Marie and the late Al Katzman, will be
especially missed.
Noah is a student at West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. Among his
mitzvah projects, he has worked at Yad Ezra
in Berkley.

Sydney Rose Laub will
lead the congregation at
Temple Israel in West
Bloomfield Friday, Dec. 10,
as she celebrates her bat
mitzvah and reads from
the Torah. Her parents are
Karen Laub and Gregory

Laub. She is the sister of Jami and Ryan.
Her proud grandparents are Marilyn and
Barry Charlip and Lynne and Bob Laub.
Sydney attends Berkshire Middle School
in Beverly Hills. As part of her mitzvah expe-
rience, she has twice cut her hair for Locks
for Love, and felt this was very meaningful.

bar mitzvah on Saturday,
Dec. 11, at Congregation

B'nai Moshe in West
Bloomfield. Sharing in his
simchah will be his proud grandparents
Olivia and Leonard Hammer and Rosann
and Donald Stashefsky.
Zachary attends Walnut Creek Middle
School in Walled Lake.
One of his most meaningful mitzvah
projects was volunteering at Children's
Hospital in Detroit.

Madeline Alexa Stein
will be called to the Torah
as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Dec. 11, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue in
Farmington Hills. She is
the daughter of Debbie
and Steven Stein and the
Stein
sister of Jonah. Her proud
grandparents are Judy and
Al Stein and Charles Finkelstein. Madeline
is also the granddaughter of the late Elaine
Finkelstein.
Madeline attends West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. She participated
in many mitzvah projects but felt that the
most meaningful was helping to feed the
homeless at Grace Centers of Hope.

Unger
Beth El in Bloomfield
Township on Saturday,
Dec. 11. Sharing in the simchah is proud
grandmother Shirlee Unger. Emily is the
granddaughter of the late Joseph Unger, the
late Sybil Einstandig and the late Newton
Einstandig.
Emily is an eighth-grade student
at Clifford Smart Middle School in
Commerce Township. Of her mitzvah
projects, the most meaningful was vol-
unteering at Friendship Circle in West
Bloomfield.
