Southfield, died May 14, 2010.
She was a banking assistant manager.
Mrs. Abrams is survived by her
daughters and sons-in-law, Fran and
Stephen Barnes of Southfield, Judy and
Chick Marks of Connecticut, Helaine
Zimberg of Southfield; grandchildren,
Melissa and Adam Marks, Marc and Eric
Barnes, Ryan and Megan Zimberg; two
great-grandsons.
She was the loved daughter of the late
Morris and the late Mary Roth.

Hills, died May 10, 2010.
She is survived by her husband, Louis
Altman; son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd
and Amy Altman of Clarkston; brother-
in-law, Dr. Jules Altman of Bloomfield
Hills; grandchildren, Josh, Matthew; lov-
ing nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Altman was the loving sister of
the late Daniel Wasserman; dear sister-
in-law of the late Bessie Wasserman and
the late Deborah Altman.

DONALD E. BARRIS,
91, of Bingham Farms,
died May 10, 2010.
He was an attorney
and partner at Barris,
Sott, Denn and Driker,
PLLC. He was the son
of an immigrant father,
Barris
who worked at Ford
Motor Company on the assembly line
and experienced the great Depression.
Mr. Barris attended Wayne State
University, where he earned his bach-
elor's degree and law degree. His legal
career began in 1939 with Friedman,
Meyers & Keys. In 1968, he co-founded
Barris, Sott, Denn & Driker PLLC and
remained with the firm until his death.
During his remarkable 70-year legal
career, he cultivated a well-earned repu-
tation as a highly skilled, tenacious and
passionate litigator.
Throughout his career at Barris, Sott,
Denn & Driker, he litigated significant
zoning, construction, real estate, corpo-

rate, partnership and probate matters.
Employers and labor unions also turned
to him as an impartial mediator or
arbitrator in resolving labor disputes.
Mr. Barris also represented Motown and
owner Berry Gordy during the heydays
of Motown in Detroit.
He was a generous benefactor to his
alma mater, Wayne State University Law
School.
Mr. Barris is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law Bill and Arlene Barris
of Bloomfield Hills; daughters and
sons-in-law, Peggy and Harry Ellman
of Bloomfield Hills, Karen and Alan
Bragman of Georgia; grandchildren,
Alyssa and Bruce Cranfill, David and
Deborah Barris, Joel Barris, Erica and
Tal Izraeli, Jeffrey and Elyse Ellman,
Adam Bragman and David Bragman;
great-grandchildren, Zachary Izraeli and
Brooke Izraeli; caregiver, Eddie Alojipan;
friends, colleagues and clients.
He was the beloved husband of the
late Miriam Barris; the loving son of the
late Isadore and the late Rose Barris.

ROBERT FINKLEMAN, 83, of Oak
Park, died May 14, 2010. He was a brick
mason.
Mr. Finkleman was a World War II
veteran who served in the Pacific
Theater. He was an accomplished athlete,
winning raquetball tournaments well
into his 70s.
Mr. Finkleman is survived by his
wife, Helen Finkleman; daughters and
sons-in-law, Judy and Jim Schlaefer of
Minnesota, Jeanie and John Skarritt
of Waterford; grandchildren, Thomas
and Emilie Schlaefer; great-grandchil-
dren, Rachel, John and Megan Skarritt;
sister and brother-in-law, Anita and
Aaron Weston of Florida; sister-in-law,
Madelyn Farris; nieces, nephews and
friends.
He was the beloved father of the late
Ronna Finkleman; the loving brother of
the late Bernard Farris; dear brother-in-
law of the late Leonard Green and the
late Robert Green.

Debby (Neil) Dorfman, Joseph Mohr and
Bobby (Andrea) Mohr. Also survived by
many loving cousins, great-nephews,
