DR. GERALD STEIN,
63, of West Bloomfield
died April 24, 2010.
He was born in
Detroit on Nov. 13, 1946,
to Leo and Esther Stein
and graduated from
Henry Ford High School
in 1964. He graduated
summa cum laude from the Illinois
College of Podiatric Medicine, where he
earned his doctor of podiatric medicine
degree.
Dr. Stein built a successful private
practice and was also on staff at William
Beaumont Troy Hospital, DMC Surgery
Center, St. John Macomb Oakland
Hospital, Henry Ford Macomb and
Warren Campus hospitals.
In addition to his multiple teaching
affiliations and board certifications,
Dr. Stein served as director of Podiatric
Residency at St. John's Hospital and pres-
ident of the Oakland/Macomb Division
of the Michigan Podiatric Medical
Association.

He is survived by his wife, Monica
Stein; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and
Stephanie of Cleveland, Ohio; son Steven
of Chicago, Ill.; daughter, Stephanie of
Ypsilanti.
He was the loving father of the late
Paul Stein.
Services at Ira Kaufman Chapel;
internment at Beth El Cemetery.

HENRY "HANK" WEITZ, 92, of
Southfield, died April 24, 2010.
Mr. Weitz is survived by his daughters
and sons-in-law, Judith and James Lolas
of Farmington Hills, Sandi and Larry
Stocker of Highland, Diane and John
Kapanek of New York, Barbara Beattie
of Warren, Lisa and David French of
Warren; grandchildren, Tami and Leor

Townsend, Todd and Cheryl Stocker,
Crystal and Dr. Jason Nardone, Chad
Stocker, Bree and Jason Smart, Melissa
Beattie; great-grandchildren, Arlen
Benjamin Stocker and Samuel Joseph
Gillerman; sister-in-law, Toni Smith;
brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bernard
and Florence Golsky; many nieces and
nephews; companion, Celia Mallin of
Southfield.
He was the beloved husband of the late
Frances Golsky Weitz.
Interment at Machpeah Cemetery.

DR. IRVIN WILNER, 93, of Bloomfield
Hills, died April 19, 2010.
He is survived by his son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Evan and Elaine Wilner of
Wilmington, Del.; daughters and son-
in-law, Frances Wilner of St. Louis, Mo.,
Ruth and Steve Engelberg of Mercer
Island, Wash.; grandchildren, John and
Christina Wilner, David Engelberg,
Rebecca Engelberg; great-grand-daugh-
ter, Alexandra Sarah Wilner.
Dr. Wilner was the beloved husband of
the late Sarah Wilner.
