Obituaries Obituaries from page 81 DR. GERALD STEIN, 63, of West Bloomfield died April 24, 2010. He was born in Detroit on Nov. 13, 1946, to Leo and Esther Stein and graduated from Henry Ford High School in 1964. He graduated summa cum laude from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine, where he earned his doctor of podiatric medicine degree. Dr. Stein built a successful private practice and was also on staff at William Beaumont Troy Hospital, DMC Surgery Center, St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital, Henry Ford Macomb and Warren Campus hospitals. In addition to his multiple teaching affiliations and board certifications, Dr. Stein served as director of Podiatric Residency at St. John's Hospital and pres- ident of the Oakland/Macomb Division of the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association. He is survived by his wife, Monica Stein; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Stephanie of Cleveland, Ohio; son Steven of Chicago, Ill.; daughter, Stephanie of Ypsilanti. He was the loving father of the late Paul Stein. Services at Ira Kaufman Chapel; internment at Beth El Cemetery.
