Amy Olender packed
plasticware — wine glasses,
soup bowls, plates, table
clothes and supplies, all
donated by the Adat Shalom
Sisterhood. The goods were
sent to Seoul, South Korea,
for an armed forces seder.

ful words of appreciation to service
members. Jodi Gross at Adat Shalom
in Farmington Hills organized reli-
gious school students who wrote
the cards. Myra Gross, the presi-
dent of the Michigan Jewish War
Veterans Women's Auxiliary, and
Gerald Order, the JWV Department
of Michigan commander, pitched in,
as did Louis Sugarman at Boy Scout
Troop 364.
Amy Olender worked with Adat
Shalom's Sisterhood, which donated
needed supplies for the Armed
Forces Seder in Korea.
Amanda Warner of REDICO,
the property manager at the Trott
Financial Center, the home of Wells
Fargo Advisors-Farmington Hills,
added a bonus by coordinating a
Cell Phones for Soldiers collection for
the entire building. That ultimately
resulted in phone calling cards to
accompany the Passover greeting
cards sent to hundreds of Jewish sol-
diers overseas.
During this process, Wells Fargo
developed a wonderful relationship
with the Landstuhl Regional Medical
Center (LRMC) in Landstuhl,
Germany. LRMC is the largest U.S.
hospital outside the United States
and is the frontline medical facil-
ity receiving America's wounded
soldiers overseas. Wells Fargo
Advisors-Farmington Hills regularly
sends supplies to the American Red
Cross at LRMC.
Handwritten notes, e-mail and
phone calls from Jewish soldiers and
chaplains in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea
and Germany continue to arrive
almost daily.
"Our efforts to show support and
appreciation to America's service
men and women will continue with
`Thank You' cards being sent on a
regular basis and special holiday-
card initiatives taking place numer-
ous times during the year:' said Amy
Olender of West Bloomfield.
Wells Fargo & Co featured this
initiative in its national employee
newsletter. The Cards for Soldiers
and Cell Phones for Soldiers initia-
tives spearheaded by Wells Fargo
Advisors-Farmington Hills will
be joined by Wells Fargo offices in
Birmingham, Troy, Northville, Grosse
Pointe Woods, Clinton Township and
Ann Arbor. ❑
