he Jewish Historical Society
of Michigan will conduct its
first interfaith bus tour when
it joins with the Detroit Historical
Society to offer a tour on April 22 of
four former Detroit synagogues.
Visitors will be taken inside of
the four buildings, which now are
churches. All have been well pre-
served, with the remaining Jewish
symbols blended with Christian ones
to honor both religions.
Within each building, a Jewish
Historical Society (JHSM) member

now owned by Little Rock Baptist
Church; Shaarey Zedek on West
Chicago, now Clinton Street Greater
Bethlehem Temple Church; B'nai
B'nai David's sanctuary today as New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church
