Edward J. Gudeman

There's no time like the present to start living a
better life. That's why I moved to a community like
Fox Run.

Now I don't have to worry about house maintenance.
And there are lots of ways to stay fit and active
right on campus. I'm healthier, happier and more
independent than I've been in years. That's good
for me and the ones I love.

Take the next step toward building a more secure future. Call
1-800-917-1789 today for your free Guide to Fox Run.

the Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit will host
"Science, Ethics, Questions and
Hope: A Forum on Stem Cell
Research" at 7 p.m. Wednesday,
April 21, at the Jewish Community
Center in West Bloomfield.
This communitywide forum,
moderated by Oakland County

examine the political, scientific,
legislative, economic and ethi-
cal issues surrounding stem cell
research.
The panelists include Ellen
Cogen Lipton, state represen-
tative of the 27th district; Ed

of other teachers, developing effective
teaching strategies within a sound,
but progressive curriculum.
Like Hillel's K-8 program, the ECC
will offer a warm, nurturing and sup-

tage of being part of a K-8 school.
The Hillel ECC will benefit from a
math specialist, a science specialist, a
Jewish studies director and a Hebrew
language coordinator as well as the
support of the school's other teachers
and administrators.
In other ECC developments:
• Hillel has hired its first full-time
early childhood educators, Helayne
Shaw and Barbara Dworin.
• Congregation Beth Ahm in West
Bloomfield has joined Congregation
Shaarey Zedek in collaboration with
Hillel's ECC. Hillel will serve as the
early childhood center for both syna-
gogues, with the close involvement of
rabbis from both congregations.
• For the 2010-11 school year,
Hillel's kindergarten tuition will be
set at $10,000 per student, discount-
ed from the full tuition of $16,140.
For families enrolling their children
in the Hillel Day School ECC for the
2010-11 school year, an equivalent
percentage discount from the full
tuition will be guaranteed when
the child completes the preschool
program and transitions into Hillel's
kindergarten. E
