ESTHER KARBER,
88 of Southfield,
died March 6, 2010,
one week shy of her
89th birthday.
In addition to
being a devoted wife,
mother and bub-

bie, she worked as
a clerk in the Army Air Corps during
World War II, was the bookkeeper for
the family business and was a licensed
cosmetologist. She was a loyal sup-
porter of Israel, avid reader, world
traveler, accomplished ballroom danc-
er, follower of current events, lifelong
member of Hadassah and member of
Evergreen Jewish Congregation. Mrs.
Karber lived her life with high spirit
and enthusiasm.
She is survived by her daughters
and sons-in-law, Shelley Karber
of Plano, Texas, Laurie Novetsky
(Howard) of West Bloomfield, Marci
Karber Buerger (Thomas) of Lake
Zurich, Ill.; grandchildren, Sarah
(Todd) Wolfe, Eric (Melissa) Novetsky,
Keith Buerger and Ian Buerger; great-
grandchildren, Micole and Ari Wolfe
and Lily Novetsky.
Mrs. Karber was the beloved wife for
62 years of the late George Karber; lov-
ing sister of the late Edythe Morgano
and the late Marty Rothenberg.
Interment at Machpelah
Cemetery. Contributions may be

LUTZ, 69, of West
Bloomfield, died
March 6, 2010.
She was born in
Denmark during
the German occupa-
tion. She came to the
Lutz
U.S. when she was
8 months old. She
had a master's degree from Oakland
University and a bachelor's degree
from Michigan State University. She
taught at Clark Elementary and was
nominated Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Lutz is survived by her mother,
Ruth Korn of Oak Park; twin sister and
brother-in-law, Judith and Joel Lutz of
West Bloomfield; nephews and niece,
Kevin Lutz, Michael and Michelle Lutz,
and their children, Magnus and Julia
Lutz.
She was the beloved mother of the
late Jodi Lynne Lutz; daughter of the

HARRY E. MEISNER, M.D., 91, of
Lake Angelus, died March 1, 2010.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Margaret Meisner; sons and daughters-
in-law, Dr. Marc and Amanda Meisner
of Mill Valley, Calif., Dr. Carl and
Gracie Meisner of Houston, Texas, Ned
Meisner of Deerfield, Ill., Dr. Grant and
Rhonda Meisner of Blythewood, S.C.;
daughters and son-in-law, Gail Meisner
of Wakefield, R.I., Dana and James
Cox of Ashland, Mass.; grandchildren,
David, Rachel, Amanda, Ross, Colin,
Abra, Dalton, Sean, Alexander, Jonathan,
Micah, Austin, Joshua, Adam, Gabriel,
Lauren and Kiera.
Dr. Meisner was the beloved hus-
band of the late Roselyn Meisner;
brother of the late Pearl Goodman.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery
in Ferndale. Contributions may be
