Nosh & Network

Young professionals bond

over coffee and bagels.

BY ROBIN SCHWARTZ I PHOTOGRAPHY BY ANGIE BAAN

Young Jewish professionals hungry
for job leads and business connections
in this tough economy have a new
place to turn. The networking group
"Nosh & Network" recently celebrat-
ed its first anniversary. Participants
gathered Jan. 26 at the Detroit Jewish
News offices in Southfield for cof-
fee, bagels and the chance to mingle
and share resources. "In these hard
times, people need to network, and
we're providing an avenue to do that
at the cost of bagels and coffee," said
Jason Brown of Beverly Hills. The
public-relations professional started

the group with Alyssa Cohen of
Commerce Township. More than
100 people have taken part in their
monthly meetings. "We've received
quite a few success stories so far," said
Brown. "I hope the group will con-
tinue to grow so we can help as many
local business owners and entrepre-
neurs as we can."

The next Nosh & Network meeting
will take place 8:30-10 a.m. Tuesday,
March 23, at the Southfield Family
Dental Clinic. Cost is $5. RSVP
required at noshnetmi@aol.corn.
