(Penina Leah) Dorman will be called to
the Torah on Saturday, Feb. 27, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue in Farmington
Hills. They are the children of Norma
and Dr. Michael Dorman and brother
and sister of Hillary and Tedi. Proud
grandparents are Richard Steinik and
Blanche and Dr. Nathan Dorman. They
are also the grandchildren of the late
Natalie Steinik.
Hershel and Pearl attend Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. They have participated
in several acts of gemilut chasidim (acts
of loving-kindness), induding collecting
Dr. Seuss books for Project Literacy.

' Rachel Julia Fishman
was called to the
Torah as a bat mitz-
vah at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek
Southfield on
Saturday, Feb. 20. She
is the daughter of Jeri
Fishman
and Steve Fishman and
sister of Eric. She is the
granddaughter of the late Betty and the
late Herman Fishman, and the late Julia
and the late Alfred Thomas.
Rachel attends the Cranbrook Girl's
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. One
of her most meaningful mitzvah proj-
ects was donating blankets she made
to Children's Hospital of Michigan in
Detroit.

Isaac Alexander
Mayers, son of Jill
Mayers-Marx and
Darrell Marx, will read
from the Torah as
he celebrates his bar
mitzvah. Saturday, Feb.
27, at Temple Israel
Mayers
in West Bloomfield.
He is the brother of Chase, Jade and

first-time grandparents are Shelley
and Ray Spaulding of Farmington
Hills and Diane and Bob Shaw of
Brighton. Proud great-grandparents
are Claire and Leo Raminick of
Southfield. Drew is named in loving
memory of his maternal great-great-
grandmother Rose Suberoff ("Ma").

Landon. His grandparents are Diane
and Dan Hechtman and Eleanor Marx
and the late Irving Marx. He is also the
grandchild of the late Lillian and the
late Walter Mayers. His late great-grand-
parents are Frieda and Alan Walker and
Stella and Isaac Levy.
Isaac is a student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield.
Among his many mitzvah projects, he
felt his volunteer work at Friendship
Circle in West Bloomfield was the most
significant.

Sharing in this sim-
chah will be his very
proud and loving parents, Cheryl and
Ronald Stern. He is the brother of
Nathan and Jonah. Proud grandparents
are Barbara and Joel Leib and Rosalyn
and Aaron Stern. He is also very lucky to
share this simchah with his great-grand-
mother Sarah Galer. He is also the great-
grandson of Sarah and the late Morris
Galer and the late Barbara and the late
Manford Rosenbloom.
Sammy is a seventh-grade student at
Norup International School in Oak Park.
His favorite and most meaningful mitz-
vah project was working at a homeless
shelter during the holidays.

Saturday, Feb. 27, as she
reads from the Torah
and leads the congrega-
tion in prayer. She is

the daughter of Randi
Yaffa and Larry Yaffa. Her proud grand-
parents are Norinne and John Selesko
and Wendy and Brian Yaffa and her
great-grandmother is Mary Yaffa.
Brooke attends O.E. Dunckel Middle
School in Farmington Hills. She felt her
most meaningful mitzvah project was
helping at a nursing home during the
holidays.
