She is the daughter of Jeri Fishman and Steve Fishman and sister of Eric. She is the granddaughter of the late Betty and the late Herman Fishman, and the late Julia and the late Alfred Thomas. Rachel attends the Cranbrook Girl's Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. One of her most meaningful mitzvah proj- ects was donating blankets she made to Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. Isaac Alexander Mayers, son of Jill Mayers-Marx and Darrell Marx, will read from the Torah as he celebrates his bar mitzvah. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Temple Israel Mayers in West Bloomfield. He is the brother of Chase, Jade and first-time grandparents are Shelley and Ray Spaulding of Farmington Hills and Diane and Bob Shaw of Brighton.
