The Jewish Community Center in West

Purim Parcel Project
Temple Israel's West Bloomfield-based
Social Action Network and Caring
Community will fulfill the mitzvah of
Mishloach Manot (sending food packages
to friends) and Matanot L'evyonim (giving
gifts to the poor):
• Wednesday, Feb. 24, 4 p.m. Decorate
and assemble packages at Temple Israel.
• Sunday, March 7, 2:30 p.m. Meet at
Menorah House in Southfield to help
deliver Purim parcels to the residents.

Mahj Tourney At Hillel
Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit will host a mah jong tournament
Thursday, Feb. 25. Registration is at 6:15
p.m.; play begins at 7. Hillel is located at

— Vegas Style" at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb.

'Little Mermaid' Purim
Temple Israel's Purim Family Fun Festival
in West Bloomfield will feature "The Little
Mermaid in Shushan" 9:40 a.m. Sunday,
Feb. 28. The spiel involves Esther, a fun-
loving, curious mermaid, who visits a
strange, new world above called Shushan.
Bring a box of kosher pasta or macaroni
and cheese for Yad Ezra. Children must be
accompanied by an adult.
The YFTI Purim carnival follows, noon-
3 p.m. with games, raffles, moonwalks and
food. Free admission; game tickets are 25(t.

Congregation Beth Ahm in West
Bloomfield will host a Purim carnival
noon-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28.
