He was a World War II
veteran, a member of the
Masonic Lodge and a
Shriner for 50 years. He
was also a life member

Zedek and a member of

Knollwood Country Club.
Mr. Shapiro is survived by his beloved
wife of 68 years, Ethel Shapiro; daughters
and sons-in-law, Ellen and David Kirsch
of West Bloomfield, Carol and Marty Cook
of West Bloomfield, Marilyn and William
Kohen of West Bloomfield, Kaye and Allen
Weinberger of West Bloomfield; brother,
Melvin Shapiro of Florida; grandchil-
dren, Lisa (Mark) Satawa, Wendy Kirsch,
Bradley Manhoff, Jyll (Andrew) Bender,
Jamie (Howard) Blank, Robert (Laurie)
Kohen, Jeffrey (Sara) Weinberger, Amy

He was the dear brother of the late
Eleanor (the late Henry) Siegel.
