He is survived by his loving children,
Susan (Michael) Weininger, Daniel (Kira
Wigoda) and Joel (Kathryn Woolard);
cherished grandchildren, Melissa
Weininger (Mark) Mendelsohn, Noah
(Jennifer) Weininger and Zoe, Eli, Max,
and Ben Sobel; treasured great-grand-
children, Noam and Shayna Mendelsohn-
Weininger and Emma Weininger. He was
a treasured uncle, cousin and friend of
many.
Dr. Sobel was the beloved husband of
the late Flora (Rosenbaum) Sobel; dear
brother of the late Leo (Roslyn), the late
Sylvia Sobel, the late Lilian (Robert) Reiss.
Services were held at Shalom Memorial
Funeral Home in Arlington Heights, Ill.

Bloomfield Hills, died Dec. 17, 2009.
She is survived by her daughter and

Abe, George, Charlie; her sister, Fannie

RUTH WEINSTEIN, 97, of Brighton,
Mass., died Dec. 9, 2009.
She was born in Bialystok, Poland, on
April 27, 1912, the daughter of Meyer and
Shoskie Kraft. She spent her childhood
in Trestina (Trzcianne), Poland, before
emigrating to the United States with her
mother and younger brother and set-
tling in Chicago, Ill. She married Myer
Weinstein on March 12, 1939, and moved
to Flint. Myer Weinstein was the founder
of Weinstein Electric Co. in Flint; he died
in September 1983.
In December 2003, Mrs. Weinstein
moved to Brighton, Mass. She was a
woman of enormous wit, generosity and
resilience. She was a beloved wife, mother
and grandmother.
Mrs. Weinstein is survived by her son,
Jerome Weinstein of Newton Centre, Mass.;
daughter-in-law, Joan; grandsons, Seth and
Joshua Weinstein of New York City.
Interment was in the Workmen's Circle
Cemetery, Mt. Clemens. Contributions may

insurance repair consultant.

ins, Neil Zechman, Nathalie and David

He was the beloved son of the late
Simon and the late Kate Weisman; the lov-
ing father of the late Mitchell Weisman.
