merican Jewish Committee
(AJC) Detroit recently com-
pleted its annual diplomatic
marathon, meeting with nine consuls
general and honorary consuls general
on behalf of the Detroit Jewish com-
munity.
These meetings focused on issues
of concern to the community, includ-
ing the Iranian quest for nuclear
capability; the biased treatment
against Israel at the United Nations;
and the recent Goldstone Report
issued by the UN Human Rights
Commission.
The diplomatic marathon was
chaired by Bryant M. Frank, chapter
vice president. Over the past month,
meetings were held with the con-
suls general of Canada, Italy, Japan,
Macedonia and Mexico; and the hon-
orary consuls general of Germany,
