Chicago, formerly of Huntington
Woods, died Nov. 5, 2009.
She is survived by her son, Jared
Pickman; daughter, Jenna Pickman;
mother, Rhoda Scott; sister, Cindy
Schwartz; brother and sister-in-law,
Jeffrey and Sherrie Scott; also survived
by Jared and Jenna Pickman's father,
Michael Pickman; nieces, nephews
and friends.

ROSENDER, 80, of
West Bloomfield,
died Nov. 20, 2009.
She was a renais-
sance woman with
many interests and
accomplishments.

of Southfield; sister-in-law, Eunice
Galperin; companion, David Alpert;

She was the beloved mother of the

devoted daughter of the late Joseph
and the late Sarah Galperin.

GILBERT Y. RUBENSTEIN, 96, of
Flint, died Nov. 7, 2009.
He practiced law in Flint for 68
years and was a past president of the
Genesee County Bar Association. He
was known in the community for his
years of service and his integrity. He
could be seen swimming at the YMCA

office until his death.
Mr. Rubenstein is survived by his
wife of 26 years, Anne Cohen Shifman;
children, Phyllis Herzog (Ned Porges)
of Seattle, Nancy (Jay) Berman of
West Bloomfield, Steven (Sally)
Rubenstein of Los Angeles; grandchil-
dren Jonathan Herzog, Norah (Ben)
Meyerson, Jeremy Berman and Daniel
Berman; additionally, he leaves David
Shifman, Steven (Joan) Shifman,
Richard Shifman and Zachary
Shifman.
He was preceded in death by his
wife Florence (Bailies) in 1978.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery
in Flint.

JACOB RUBENSTEIN, 83, of West
Bloomfield, died Nov. 20, 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Lynette
Rubenstein; daughter, Iris Newsome
of Denver, Colo.; grandchildren, Barry,
Jeffrey and Eliza Newsome.
He was the dear father of the late
Paul Scott Rubenstein.

BARBARA JOYCE SCHARE, 63, of
Commerce Twp., died Nov. 18, 2009.
She is survived by her son and

brother-in-law, Sally and Bill Enniss of
