mother Shirley Lonnerstater. He is
also the grandson of the late Henry
Lonnerstater and the late Roslyn
and the late Wallace Ross.
Corey attends Roeper School in
Birmingham. Helping people in
need of food at a local food bank
was the mitzvah project he felt most
meaningful.

Dresner-Rubin

aura Rubin and Scott Dresner were
married recently at the Trump
International Hotel and Tower in
Chicago. Rabbi Steven Lowenstein of Temple
Am Shalom in Glencoe, Ill., performed a
most heartwarming and spirited service.
Participating in the ceremony were the
couple's parents, Dr. J. Barry Rubin, Carole
Kaftan Rubin and Sabina Brody.
Laura's mother, Debby Rubin, and Scott's
father, Richard Dresner, were present in
spirit.
The ceremony included dear friends
Andrea Becker Miller, Leslie Lipin, Stuart
Miller and Bill Rancic.
Laura and Scott enjoy dual residencies in downtown Chicago, where Laura is
a residential and commercial real estate broker, and Franklin, Mich., where they
both originally hail from.
The couple will soon embark on their honeymoon to Italy, where they will
visit the factory of the green Italian cabinetry company whose product Scott
imports through his custom kitchen, bath and cabinetry business, Dresner
Design.

ancy and Harry Topper of
Farmington Hills are pleased
to announce the engagement of
their daughter Jessica Suzanne Topper to
Adam Jerrod Bookman, son of Mandell and
Irene Bookman of Owosso, Mich.
Jessica earned both her bachelor's and
doctor of dental surgery degrees at the
University of Michigan.
Adam received his bachelor's and mas-
ter's degrees in political science from the
University of Michigan and a juris doctor
from the University of Michigan Law School.
The couple reside in Traverse City, where
Jessica practices dentistry and Adam is employed as an attorney with the United
States Court of Appeals.
A May 2010 wedding is planned in Detroit.
