SAMUEL FRANK, 80, of West
Bloomfield, died Sept. 26, 2009.
He is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Bruce (Laura)
Frank of Deerfield, Ill.; grand-
sons, David Frank, Seth Frank;
daughter and son-in-law, Julie
Frank (Howard) Yee of Livonia;
brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack
(Beverly) Frank of San Diego,
Calif., Max (Carole) Frank of
Farmington Hills; sister and
brother-in-law, Rose (Joshua)
Geller of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Mr. Frank was the beloved
husband of the late Bernadine
Frank.
Contributions may be made
to Congregation Beth Ahm, 5075
W. Maple Road, West Bloomfield,
MI 48322 or to a charity of one's
choice.
Interment at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park in Livonia.
Arrangements by Hebrew
Memorial Chapel.

SIDNEY GELB, of the Bronx,
N.Y., died Sept. 3, 2009.
He served in World War II
in the 335th Field Artillery
Battalion of the Army. He fought
in the Battle of the Bulge. Also,
he helped in the liberation of
Buchenwald Concentration
Camp.
Mr. Gelb was a printer for the
New York Times. He was active
with his synagogue and generous
with donations to charities. He
loved the New York Yankees and
had seen in person Babe Ruth
and Lou Gehrig.
He was a loving husband, father
and grandfather with a kind corn-
passionate spirit.
Mr. Gelb is survived by his
sons, Kenneth of Long Island,
Richard of Huntington Woods,
Lewis of New York City; daugh-
ters-in-law, Beverly and Sherri
Gelb; dear grandchildren, Dereck,
Ryan, Fallon and Eric Gelb.
He was the loving husband of
the late Esther.
Contributions may be made to
a charity of one's choice.
