KAHN. former

Detroiter of Rossmoor
in Walnut Creek, Calif.,
died July 14, 2009,
peacefully after a long
and valiant struggle
with progressive supra-
Kahn
nuclear palsy (PSP).
Endearingly known as the "Flower
Lady" by her family, friends and neighbors
for her love of flowers and beautiful gar-
dens, she was a smiling ray of sunshine.
As her children became self-reliant,
Mrs. Kahn attended Oakland University
and received a bachelor's degree with
honors. She moved to Hollywood, Fla.,
and received a master of arts degree from
Barry University in Miami Shores, Fla., in
clinical social work.
In 1993, Mrs. Kahn moved to Rossmoor,
located in Walnut Creek. There she met
Donald \\racks. Together they participated
in and contributed to numerous cultural
activities offered at Rossmoor and in the
San Francisco Bay area. She and Don trav-
eled extensively throughout the United
States and the world as they shared their
love and lives together.
Mrs. Kahn was involved with many
charitable organizations that included
Women's Brandeis, Hadassah and ORT. She
fed the hungry and donated to more than
40 charities that supported Israel, the ill, the
disabled and various nature organizations.
Mrs. Kahn is survived by beloved
companion of 14 years, Donald Wacks;
children, Karen (Barry) Siegel of West
Bloomfield, Robert (Bonn•) Kahn of Los
Gatos, Calif., Beth (Terry) Miller of Los
Gatos; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Kahn
of San Jose, Calif.; grandchildren, Lisa
(Michael) Zeldes of West Bloomfield, Dr.
Jonathan (Danielle) Siegel of Mobile, Ala.;
great-grandchildren, Zachary, Benjamin
and Noah Siegel; beloved sister Gloria
and brother-in-law Larry Coville of Sun
City Center, Fla. She leaves loving caregiv-
ers, Alicia Queriiero and Alma Guiang.
Mrs. Kahn was the daughter of the late
Isadore and the late Matilda Bell; mother
of the late Martin Kahn.

July 26, and Monday, July 27, at 7 p.m.
at the home of daughter and son-
