oris and Frederick Blechman of
Bloomfield Hills are delighted
to announce the engagement of
their daughter Stefanie Ariel to Yoni Evan
Shoag, son of Ellie and Dr. Mark Shoag of
Beachwood, Ohio.
Stefanie earned two bachelor of arts
degrees from the joint program of the
Jewish Theological Seminary and Columbia
University in New York.
Yoni received his bachelor of arts
from the University of Pennsylvania in
Philadlephia and is a medical student at
Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of
Technology.
A September wedding is planned at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in
Southfield.

Troy celebrated their 50th wed-
ding anniversary on May 8 by
spending that week exploring Paris and
the next week cruising the Seine from
Paris to Normandy. On their return home,
their children, David and Deanne Arking,
Jonathon and Carolyn Arking, and grand-
children Ben, Jared and Rachel, Joshua,
Emily and Claire, joined them at their lake
house and hosted a celebratory family din-
ner in honor of the event. They are mem-
bers of Birmingham Temple, Farmington
Hills.

daughter Jessica Beth to Adam Barner, son
of Susan Toal and Russ Toal of Atlanta, Ga.
Jessica received her bachelor of architec-
ture from the University of Michigan and
will complete her master's of architecture at
Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta
next spring.
Adam graduated from Syracuse University
in New York with a bachelor of architecture.
The couple met at the architectural firm
Cooper Carry in Atlanta, where Adam is
employed.
Jessica and Adam will be married at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in August.
