Youth Organization installed
its 2009-10 executive
board members on June 4 at the
Jewish Community Center in West
Bloomfield. Illana Dell and Aaron
Wasserman, BBYO's outgoing regional
vice presidents for programming,
were the hosts for the installation and
awards presentation.
The newly elected regional Aleph
Zadik Aleph (AZA) officers are

The regional B'nai B'rith Girls
(BBG) officers are Marisa Horn,
president, Farmington Hills; Eden
Adler, vice president/programming,
Farmington Hills; Samantha Dines,
vice president/membership, West
Bloomfield; Claire Sinai, community
service/Jewish heritage coordina-
tor, Huntington Woods; Marissa
Ceresnie, treasurer, Farmington Hills;
Alina Post, secretary, Livonia; and
Natalie Wanetick, newspaper editor,
Southfield. Stephanie Horwitz, out-
going regional BBG president, was
elected counselor.
BBYO members presented a $1,640
donation to the Ovarian Cancer
Alliance, which promotes ovarian cancer
research, early detection and support for
cancer patients. BBYO members chose this
organization for their annual regional gift
to honor Lindsey Rosenberg, BBYO pro-
gram associate, who is being treated for
ovarian cancer.
In addition, scholarships were awarded
to three members for BBYO summer pro-
grams. Jackie Colvin received the Arline
Vivian Moss Scholarship. Marissa Quigg
received the Matthew Doren Leadership
