Never formally trained, MC Katie was dancing

were married recently in Ann Arbor.

Congregation performed the ceremony in the
ballroom at the University of Michigan League.
The bride is the daughter of Susan and
Barry Gross of Ann Arbor. She is a CDC epi-
demiology fellow at the Illinois Department of
Public Health.
The groom is the son of Aviva Tauman of
Evanston, Ill. He is the director of Camp Young
Judaea Midwest in Waupaca, Wis., where the
couple met in the summer of 1991, when he
was 14 and she was 11.
The maid of honor was Caroline Gross, the bride's sister. Bridesmaids were Talia
Meserole, the groom's sister, Hannah Chervitz, Flora Endelman, Lauren Tarantino,
Janet Temko and Peri Zelig.
The best man was Josh Hirsen. Groomsmen were Jeremy Meserole, the groom's
brother-in-law; Paul Gross, the bride's brother; David Brown and David Harris.
The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and reside in
Chicago.

are delighted to announce the engagement
of their children, Michael Eric Stern and
Jennefer Allyn Russo.
Jennefer received her bachelor of science
from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., and
earned her doctor of medicine from George
Washington University in Washington, D.C.
She completed her residency in obstetrics
and gynecology at Harbor-UCLA Medical
Center and works with uninsured and
underserved patients in San Diego.
Michael received his bachelor of arts in
film studies from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He works as a pro-
fessional screenwriter, writing instructor and independent filmmaker.
The couple met in L.A. and now reside in San Diego. An August wedding is
planned in La Jolla, Calif.

Samuel Weisel, son of Barbara Weisel of
Suffern, N.Y., and the late Martin Weisel.
Julie received her undergraduate degree from
the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and
her master's in literacy education from Fordham
University in New York. She is a teacher at
Rodeph Sholom School in Manhattan.
Howard received his undergraduate degree
from Binghamton University and his juris
doctor from Cardozo School of Law in New
York, N.Y. He is a law clerk for a Manhattan Family Court judge.
An August wedding is planned in West Bloomfield.
