Ann Arbor Israel Fest

The Ann Arbor Jewish community
will gather to celebrate Israel's
61st and Tel Aviv's 100th birthday
11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, May 17,
at the Jewish Community Center,
2935 Birch Hollow Drive.
Participants will enjoy Israeli
dancing, Israeli street food and
entertainment. There will be Israeli
and Tel Aviv-themed activities for
the entire family. The shuk mar-
ketplace includes local craftspeo-
ple and merchandise from Israel.
This year's focus on Tel Aviv will
bring new features including the
Tel Aviv Cafe, a disco and crafts
demonstrations — plus an Israeli
dance party from 3:30-5 p.m. in
the JCC gym.
For the second year in a row,
Ann Arbor will host a delega-
tion from Moshav Nahalal, from
Partnership 2000 region in the
Central Galilee.

$5/individual and $10/family. Pre-

The Anti-Defamation League/
Michigan Region is hosting a
four-part author series. Craig
Crawford, an NBC/MSNBC news
analyst and White House colum-
nist for Congressional Quarterly,
will speak Tuesday, May 19, after
a noon lunch at Andiamo res-

Bloomfield Township.
