MARJORIE S. KATZ, 87, of
Huntington Woods, died April 23,
2009.
She was a retired executive secre-
tary for the Detroit Council of World
Affairs and also a mediator for the
Oakland Mediation Center. She was
also a board member of the Oakland
Mediation Center, a secretary of the
Institute for Retired Professionals, a
docent for the DIA and was a found-
ing member of Temple Emanu-El.
Mrs. Katz is survived by her hus-
band, Albert Ascher of Huntington
Woods; children, Jerrold and Marti
Katz of Newton Highlands, Mass.,
Robert and Sheri Katz of Huntington
Woods and Susan Aaron Gilman of
Singapore; grandchildren, Nathaniel,
Ethan, Jacqueline and Danielle Katz;
Albert's family, Adeena and Daniel;
nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Laurence Katz.

ties.
She is survived by her children,
